Tour Guides and Drivers

Last updated: 22 Jun 2008

All tour guides for the Angkor temples must have a licence to be able to guide tourists around the temples, so you must use an official guide. There are various guides available who can speak different languages, but most tour guides are English speaking.

Generally, people travel to Siem Reap to visit the Angkor temples, but you do need some form of transport to see them. Most people use a taxi or a tuk tuk, but if you are in a group then it is better to hire a bus.

Tour Guides

If you are looking for a tour guide for your visit to the temples, then you can normally arrange one when you arrive in Siem Reap. However, in high season, you may not get such a good guide because most of the experienced guides will be booked in advance.

We would advise you to book a tour guide before you arrive in Siem Reap, who can also help you to plan your itinerary for you by email. Many of the experienced tour guides will be booked during the high season, so unless you make arrangements in advance you may be disappointed when you arrive and find that there are no guides available.

Listed below are selection of tour guides who offer their services for visits to the temples.
