Siem Reap has seen major development over the last 5 years. Development is growing faster than ever now with new hotels, restaurants, homes, businesses and roads constantly been built and renewed.

Land prices have increased in value the most in the last 5 years with most prices of land in Siem Reap having increased by more than 500%! Land continues to be one the best ways for people to invest in Cambodia, especially for Cambodians. Unfortunately it is not easy for foreigners to invest in land. However, if you are interested in investing, it is not impossible as long as you find a good estate agent who knows the process, or even better a good lawyer.
